Voter Registration Qualifications

  1. A United States citizen. (You must be a U.S. citizen at the time you register).
  2. At least 18 years of age on or before the date of the next election.
  3. A current resident of California.
  4. Not in prison or on parole for a felony conviction.

You Must Re-register If

  1. You changed your address
  2. Changed your name/became married
  3. Or want to change your political affiliation (party).

A quick re-registration will take care of these important changes. You may also make any other change to your voting record, such as mailing address, email address and vote-by-mail status.

November 3, 2026 General Election

The general election this November will feature the midterm election for Congress, as well as the election of California statewide officers, the state assembly, and local offices including city council, school board, and water board. Ballots will be mailed to all registered voters in early October.
