Join us for a packed agenda in September! We’ll be hearing from Rashad Al-Dabbagh, with the US Census Bureau, talking about what we can do to help ensure an accurate count in the 2020 census. While the Trump Administration’s citizenship question won’t be on the census, there’s still work to be done to ensure that Congressional representation and federal funding is appropriately allocated here in California and around the country.

We will also be voting on endorsements for the 48th Congressional District and the 73rd Assembly District, as well as adopting a budget for the next year. For the activism corner, we’ll be preparing some GOTV postcards for Kentucky’s state elections this November, where Mitch McConnell is hoping to install his personal lawyer as Secretary of State. Ditching Mitch in 2020 starts this November by ensuring checks and balances in the Kentucky state government. I hope to see you there.

REMINDER: If you want to vote on our endorsements in September, your dues need to be paid by the end of August. If you haven’t renewed your membership since March, then you may not be a member in good standing. You can pay your 2019-2020 dues here.
